Sign Union Cards
You and your co-workers sign membership cards. Card signing is confidential — employers are never told who signed.

Certification
With enough support, Local 31 applies to the Labour Board to certify your workplace. The Board oversees the process and protects your rights

Negotiate Your Contract
Your elected bargaining committee and experienced Local 31 negotiators bargain your first collective agreement — wages, benefits, security, and respect in writing.
It is illegal for your employer to threaten, intimidate, or discipline you for organizing.
