Biography

Jas Haer has been a member of Teamsters Local 31 since 2006 and works as a Red-Sealed Heavy Duty Mechanic at Coast2000 Terminals. He was elected Shop Steward in 2010 and has resolved numerous grievances and accompanied the union to arbitrations on behalf of members.

A two-time elected Bargaining Committee member, he has advanced fully-funded trade school education, including books for apprentices, through collective bargaining. He has studied provincial and federal labour law through the CLC and has been involved in Local Union organizing. In January 2024, he was appointed Trustee to the Local 31 Executive Board.
