Biography
Murwan Salame has been a proud member of Teamsters Local 31 since 2020. He holds a Joint Major Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and served as a Unionized Supervisor in the Metro Vancouver Housing Department before becoming a Shop Steward at Metro Vancouver Regional District.
He was appointed Business Representative in April 2024. He holds BC Municipal Health & Safety Certification, is active on two Joint Health & Safety Councils within Metro Vancouver, and has participated in several union training programs.
