Lance Matricardi

Biography

Lance Matricardi has been a member of Teamsters Local 31 since 1994. He was first elected Shop Steward with Local 31 in 2003 and was re-elected in 2005, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2017, representing coworkers at Coast 2000 Terminals Ltd. He was elected to the Local 31 Bargaining Committee to negotiate the company’s contract in 2005 and again in 2010.

He was appointed to the Local 31 Executive Board by President Stan Hennessy in April 2016 and was elected to a five-year term as Recording Secretary from January 2018 to December 2022. He has completed Shop Steward Training (Basic and Advanced) and CLC Winter School training in Collective Bargaining, Building Political Power, and Parliamentary Procedures and Public Speaking, and volunteers with Local 31 at community events including Hats Off Days, Sapperton Days, and the Variety Club Telethon.
