Mike Hennessy

Biography
Mike Hennessy has been a Local 31 member since 2002. He served six years as Shop Steward at Van-Kam Freightways, settling several grievances up to and including arbitrations, and chaired the company’s Health and Safety Committee for four years. In 2010 he was elected to serve on the Bargaining Committee.
He was appointed to the Local 31 Executive Board in September 2008 and was elected Business Representative for the 2013–2017 and 2018–2022 terms. He is a graduate of the Canadian Labour Congress Winter School in Collective Bargaining, Shop Steward Training Levels 1 and 2, and Parliamentary Procedure and Public Speaking, and served as a delegate at the 2009 Teamsters Canada Convention.
